Last week's Monitoring Committee in Ghent approved the first two projects of the Interreg 2 Seas 2014-2020 Programme. The approved ERDF budget is 1 851 379, 92 EUR for SSEnt and 2 513 877, 36 EUR for DOC2C's. Both projects have been approved under Priority Axis 1 - Technological and social innovation.
SSEnt gathers partners from England, Belgium-Flanders and the Netherlands. The project's main aim is to improve the capacity of social enterprises to develop and deliver sustainable and high impact innovations.
The main objective of DOC2C's is to develop new environmental technologies for efficient, future-proof drinking water production in coastal areas, in response to the increasing concentration of Dissolved Organic Carbon (DOC) in surface waters in the 2 Seas area.
